Anniversary Hike to Yellow Aster Butte

8 08 2013

My wife and I headed out last weekend for an overnight backpacking trip to Yellow Aster Butte meadows as our 13th anniversary of the trip we took for our honeymoon in 2000.  I trekked the 7D up with me using the Cotton carrier (which, I might add, was quite comfortable)

The whole set is at

Birds of Northeastern Florida

28 10 2012

I was down in Jacksonville for work for about 1.5 weeks.  Our office was right next to a little swampy pond area.  You didn’t need to go far to see some cool birds.

I also got down to Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve which provided some nice opportunities as well.

There are a whole bunch on my Flickr Set, but here are a few samples:

Great Egret in Fight

Northern Cardinal

Royal Tern

Some amazing birds there!
