Birds from our last day on the Galapagos Islands

16 07 2012

Our last morning in the Galapagos had us cruise around the islands of Daphne Major and Dapne Minor. One last chance to see a few more of the beautiful species in the Galapagos.

Our cruise through the Galapagos was 8D7N and took us to many interesting places. For sheer volume of birds, Genovesa was amazing with the breeding red-footed boobies and nazca boobies as well as Frigatebird colony and swallow-tail gulls.

I understand that some of the southern islands, if you time it right, you get to see the waved albatross, but we had to make SOME compromises. An amazing insight into this little group of volcanic islands that grew up away from the rest of us.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed the various photos I posted over the past month of the incredible birds on these islands.

Galapagos Snokeling videos

28 04 2012

In a branch out from my regular "photography" we have a bit of Cinematography!

A couple of videos I put together from snorkeling in the Galapago Islands.  They were shot on a Fuji XP waterproof camera…

Water was lovely! Quite an experience…
Watch for the SHARK!

Hong Kong – 2011-11-23, a set on Flickr.

Mrs Dragonspeed needed to get rid of me for a day , so her Uncle #7 offered to show me around. We spent the day around Sai Kung.

We went out to the Kau Sai Chau Golf Course where we got in trouble for wandering around a golf course 🙂 We went on an 80 minute cruise around some local islands and we had a great seafood dinner. It was a blast!
