Some hard figures regarding Tech Outsourcing

1 06 2005

Entry-level workers at Vietnamese tech outsourcing operations earn an average of $3,276 a year, compared to $5,443 for such workers in India, $5,616 in Romania and $25,338 in Canada

Great.  Companies could hire 7 Vietnamese guys in my place 😦  I’m glad that the company that I work for cares about what I can do for them, and what the actual presence of a person means to getting the job done right, the FIRST time.

Pleasantly countries like India are showing skyrocketing salaries, which means that the globalization of Tech outsourcing will only have the effect of increasing the cost of labour worldwide.  This will mean worldwide inflation, and the companies that are presently outsourcing will have to begging back to local help.  Ha!  (A guy can dream can’t he?)
