Here’s one for the Cryptographer in you.

Apparently major drug stores in the U.S. have been posting their wholesale prices on their shelf tags, using simple substitution cipher (made even easier by the fact they are only substituting letters for 10 numbers)  to mask their wholesale prices, in plain view.  Why they would even put them on the tag is beyond me, but here’s the page that describes what Long’s Drugs and Walgreens does.

Have you noticed any other stores?  Walmart?  Any Canadian stores?
